Just so everyone knows - you can do the same deal with the Moto G6 (standard edition). It will be $50 more but you get a much better phone (better screen, much better camera, worse battery though).

It's a great deal if you are thinking about starting with Cricket or already with Cricket.

I agree, but the $50 might be very significant for some. I have read that Amazon is going to have a promotion on the Moto G6 during their July sale. I think I might have read that they were going to sell one with 64 GB internal memory. Who knows though.

They have stopped the practice of doing ads on the screen for their smartphones. As ttuite03 mentioned - the only differences are baked in Amazon apps (that you apparently can't uninstall) and Alexa integration.

Not a bad way to go to knock off $15. I am looking forward to Prime Day though. Very, very good chance that the G6 will drop to $200 (saving another $35).

Anyone have this phone and can offer thoughts on it? I'm needing to replace my iphone 5c this year, and I'm looking at either this, samsung J7 or refurb iphone 6s (generally sticking with something around the $200 mark). Reviews for this phone (and the J7) seem to be pretty good, but I see enough bad ones that make me second guess getting one.

I have read the review that the 720p screen is intentional on the G6 Play because it does not drain the battery as quickly as the 1080p screen.

Already going for $200 on google's website: https://fi.google.com/signup?sele...buydevices). No activation requirement and you will have an unlocked phone without Amazon bloatware.
