I grabbed one, I needed it for my 14 year old cousin for his school work and he needs that dvd rom drive.
$540 after tax is alright I guess. Thanks OP, repped!
I bought the i3 version for a friend a few months back from b&h and I liked the build quality (after upgrading the super slow 5400RPM). Battery life was on the weak side though, but acceptable.
FYI anyone who has bought anything from Newegg in the past month could have had their credit card information stolen
Big surprise. They will tell you your info wasn't taken just like the last time.
They got hacked when they were egghead.com. Someone got my card and charged 20K on it Christmas eve. My CC company called me at 8AM christmas day and asked if I made the charges. Egghead still denied it even though the card was brand new and I had only used it there.
EDIT....well you learn something new every day. All these years I thought they were the same company

Questions:
1) What type of USB C is this (hoping Thunderbolt vs the other 8 types, yes 8, of USB C)?
2) Is the RAM upgradeable beyond 8GB (listed as 4GB Onboard & 4GB Dimm, assuming onboard equals soldered)?
3) Is the SSD upgradeable or soldered?
