Plus taxes and fees. If you live in IL like I do, taxes will be like $8 extra per month. There is always a $5 e911 fee plus other bogus fees.

Which # did you guys call?
I'm having trouble activating the sim. I was told that thr transfer of my tmobile number is complete however, I cannot receive data or make call still. I assume it's because the account is not funded yet

Try and call 611 from the device you're attempting to activate with the SIM in it. If it won't process the customer service call it will play an autoreply that contains the 1-800 number you'll have to call from another phone or land line.

Edit: I'm also thinking if I would have just left everything alone overnight it may have possibly ported and activated on it's own. You can see some of my problems in post #646 above. I'm on the phone now with customer support as I was charged the $300 (+tax) twice and I'm not having to get a refund. They needed my CC info once when I called to get it activated and then about 3 hours later it automatically charged my card again. Just a guesstimate or assumption though so I could be wrong....

I want to purchase this deal for myself and my wife. I go to checkout and don't see an option to buy the deal 2x and get 2 Sims in the mail. Do I have to create 2 accounts separately one for each phone?
You'll have to create two accounts. Basically checkout two times, and port two numbers if you're wanting to port any numbers over. On Prepaid the phone number itself is more or less the account number. May be worth spacing them out across a day or doing one a week to avoid the problems or confusion of attempting both at the same time.

I am on Fi with $55 bill for 2, use 500MB each line per month. What other perks you are talking about? Fi is bad in remote areas. And in cities I often manually switch to TMobile as Sprint network is bad and can't use data while on call. Thinking of switching to this.

Thanks
The perks are mostly about cheap international calling and roaming which I use heavily. Otherwise it is comparable to any other service. My situation is, I'd rather shave off 50% off my bill than enjoy those perks. Also, I get worry free 8G data, my heart sinks a little everytime I get on a videocall or webcon on LTE with fi since I know Im paying for it when it should be free. Fi will be great if they can bundle atleast 2 GB of local data, but no you pay for every mb.

Online is fine. Don't forget to freeze/lock your original credit card before activation. System will try to charge 300+ on your card right after activation even if you used the refill to make the payment.
Freeze which CC? The one used to buy sim or even the CC used to purchase refills?

The one you used to buy the sim if you are using refill. That card is being automatically charged even if you paid manually (refill - see sjaved's or through csr - see Mr_skul's post).

Tried to sign up. It took my order, but I got a cancellation email the next day:

"Status: CANCELED

We couldn't verify this order XX-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX really came from you. For your security, we canceled it. Don't worry, we'll release any funds being held on your card.

Let's try this again. Let us help you reorder your item(s). Visit a store near you and be sure to bring your ID."

So, I tried going to the company store, but they told me it was online only. I called the 800 number, but they told me they can't verify me without my going into the store, but the store won't be able to give me the deal and they can't do anything to help. The 800 number told me they don't have workable solution for me. Wow did they not want my business.

Damn that sucks. Probably the easiest way to get it done is get a friend or someone else to buy it for you. Give them the cash. Since it's prepaid it wont make no difference in the end. There must be a flag on you or your card. Then after a year the best way to continue is with prepaid pins anyways.

DATA speeds are capped at 8Mbps on cricKet, while there are no caps on AT&T pp. Just did a speed test and got 16Mbps on pp. This is really negligible unless you're downloading stuff. Otherwise for day to day use, you won't notice any difference.

Obviously after you use your high speed DATA, they both go down to 128kbps.

As an ex AT&T post paid, AIO(now cricKet) customer, I haven't noticed any coverage difference and I've traveled throughout most of the eastern part of the US. But that doesn't mean there aren't any. Just that if there are, I haven't noticed.

Yeah, i am torn, i love using fi and customer svce are very helpful, but data cost makes me cringe, I love to listen to streaming radio while driving and I just dont any more.

Activate succeeded. Port number from cricket confirmed.

However, when I try to manage the plan, it said:
The wireless number you entered is not associated with a valid AT&T PREPAID subscriber.

Try to call 800 901 9878, since I do not have phone number with att, it won't go though.

Try local att store, they said they have no access to online promotion.

I guess I am out.
