3Gb per second but still on a 1Gb per second link. Marketing at it's best
The M9 is a tri-band router. The X60 is a dual band.

If you are using a wifi backhaul, get the M90.

If you are using a wired Ethernet backhaul, get the X60.
The X60 has a maximum backhaul of 3000Mbps vs the M9's 1500Mbps. Dual band on the X60 is a 2.4Ghz band and 5Ghz, the M9's have one 2.4Ghz and two 5Ghz bands.

Try disabling fast roaming and beamforming under "Advanced options". I have see these advanced features (including band steering) really screw with my Samsung galaxy phones.

Thanks. Just disabled beamforming . Fast roaming was already disabled.....should I enable it since it was disabled?

I dont really know what either of these do. What am I missing out on by having both disabled?

Fast roaming isn't a standard I believe. It attempts to decrease the wait time when roaming between access points for sending and receiving data from your phone. Beamforming is more access point related and really shouldn't affect your phone. I suggested turning them off to see if TP-LINK's implementation of both features don't work well with your Samsung phone. If you don't notice any difference, then it has to be something else. Another option is to see if you turn off one of the bands and see if you still have the problem. Band steering could also cause disconnects between the client and the access points.

Thanks for all the information about this kit. I got it and installed it with my wired gig home network. It works great. I was trying to see what I can do to stress test the system out. Any suggestions?

5 kids playing fortnight and watching netflix did it for me. But not too bad. Memory utilization maxes out and had a couple of drops. Everything working well after kids are back to a manageable number

Where they spread throughout the nodes or all on the same one you were testing from? I would make sure to try to hardwire some of the items to the node so it forces it to stick to that node instead of possibly jumping to another nodes wifi.

My TP-Link X60 arrived yesterday. I wanted to like it for many reasons, most being the user interface that allows one to control both 2.4 and 5Ghz frequencies (very useful when setting up smart switches).
My setup was Cable modem ->primary router ->switch -> 2 slave units (cat5 backhaul) with over 80 wifi devices connecting intermittently. The 2 slave units would go green and then intermittently drop, flashing red. Spent 40 minutes with TP-Link tech support which was of no use. Will return to Costco and see if TP-Link does any better in a year or two.

I have the same set up and problem. The way I fixed it is remove all the back haul and connect the mesh all wirelessly. Once everything was green, connected each deco x60 with cable to the switch and voila! I agree that's a dumb behavior and tp link needs to fix it for future

Yes - it "fails" otherwise, but works in this roundabout way. Once the set-up is complete, you can check the ethernet backhaul is active (In the app it will say <...> Ethernet). It's been rock solid after that. I've 80ish devices as well. Give it a try - you can always return it later on, given Costco's awesome return policy, if you don't like it.

I just received a Costco mailer and this deal returns on 10/26. I'm looking to replace my old DIY mesh system (AC1750 main with 3 various other routers set as access points with the same SSID) so I'm already wired for backhaul. Those that bought it last time: recommended?

I just got the mailer and I didn't see anything about this one being on sale. I'm kind of hoping it is though. Where did you get the mailer from?

It's not in the normal mailer, it's a special holiday one. Different size, folded in half.

I just returned my Google Wifi and Nest Wifi (total 8 nodes) back to costco. I had constant drop connections.

I went back to using my two Asus RT-AC68U mesh.

Flip-flopping on whether I should get this?

Or upgrade the Asus Mesh?

Or something else?

Any input is greatly appreciated.
I am getting a lot of poor network connection messages when I am using MS Teams. I have the same setup - 2 AC68U in mesh. Also feel like the routers are not very stable anymore and I often have to reboot them. Are others also facing the same situation?

I went with the Netgear Orbi from Costco. It was discounted last coupon book.

It's been really stable. Not much in customization if that's what your looking for.

But I wanted triband and Wi-F 6.
Cost more than the others but worth it for the speed and stability.

So my speed actually went down a little. I am switching from T-Mobile/ASUS Cell Spot in a 2,500sqft home. Asus was giving me over 130Mbps on the first floor and just under 100Mbps on the second floor. Now with TPLink I'm getting 300Mbps when I'm in the same room as the base unit but under 90Mbps everywhere else in the house.
I'm on the wireless backhaul do that may be causing the slower speed but it seems pretty lame to upgrade especially when I actually thought it was an overkill with my 300Mbps internet.

Any thing I should try before returning this?
