Would this be ok for light web browsing, Netflix, Youtube, and maybe Word/Google docs? I'm planning to use this for travel whenever travel is available again. I already have a desktop that I use at home so I'm looking for something cheap that I can throw around and won't be upset if it breaks or gets lost/stolen.

I'm debating between this and the Costco Chromebook deal (https://slickdeals.net/f/14501702-costco-199-100-off-hp-14-chromebook-bundle-intel-celeron-1080p-bonus-sleeve-wireless-mouse?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1). The Chromebook looks promising because of the higher screen resolution and longer battery life, but you can't beat this $150 price point!

Looks like it takes SD cards, not microsd cards. I want to use one like a hard drive. Any advice on what brands to get, prices ranges, stores to get one from?

Just buy the Chromebook. The battery should be much better... You clearly don't have a specific use case for windows, so the OS shouldn't matter.

Ram looks to be upgradable per the spec sheet which is vital because that would be the bottleneck otherwise. Stock 4gb soldered, has 1 socket, 12gb max supported, ddr4-2400 for this cpu. So buy a cheap 4 or 8gb stick, $10-$25, pop it in there, it should run in dual channel and then this thing should essentially double in speed and be good to go. Can't wait to try it.

Again it's with delivery, want one for my mom but damn if it's only one soldered ram that's a shame and no thanks, any who receive one?

Bought 2 of these for my 6 & 8 year old who homeschool. Bought a 16GB kit (2x8GB 2400 SODIMM) for $50, making these 12GB ram laptops for $175 each.

12gb is overkill for this cpu...but for the price I guess it doesn't matter

Is RAM upgradable or you need soldering capabilities?
