So what are the cons? It's not thin, nor light. The camera is hot garbage to me, but the wife uses it for Zoom and hasn't complained yet, so there's that. The screen is ... meh. I mean, our phones have better screens, and I'll bet a $150 phone might as well. At first I was concerned about the 4GB of ram, but honestly, it hasn't been a problem YET. I'm sure, in the future we'll have to revisit this. I would like an ethernet jack, but it's hard to tell because they only use them in the house and we have good wi-fi. If we go on vacation, it might be a different story. Also, 128GB of storage is nothing these days. You will run out fast if you have a lot of media. But this problem isn't exclusive to this particular model, as the majority of laptops are in the same boat. So add the cost of external storage (SD card, external drive, cloud) to the overall price. Finally, the battery life is not good. You'll have to pay more to start getting decent longevity.

It looks like on some other models that their is a connector for a ribbon cable under the NVMe, so if that exists we might be able to buy the cable from a different model and attach a 2.5" SSD.

The only sucky part is after removing the back screws, you need to depress the cover clips around the edges using something like a soft plastic credit card. Other then that, easy. I gently pulled up where it meets the lid hinge to slightly open enough to put the card in.
In about your PC for windows 10, it shows 12GB ram installed with 11.8 usable
For those of us (like me) who might do something stupid and plop the wrong 8GB stick in the free RAM slot, can you recommend a specific brand or vendor to get it from? Any specific specs on the 8GB stick that might be obvious to everyone but not obvious to a n00b that we need to be aware of?

Just get the same thing as a single 8gb

Interesting side note - I was looking at some of the memory configuration sites ... both Crucial and Kingston claim this model supports up to 20GB RAM (4 + 16) rather than the 12GB (4 + 8) that Lenovo's own spec sheet claims. Does anyone want to be the guinea pig? If you've got a spare 16GB stick laying around that's compatible, want to slap that bad boy in and let us know what happens?

Mine was just delivered 5 minutes ago. There was no tracking info on the website - apparently the local store grabbed on from inventory and they sent some dude in his car to drop it off on my porch. I guess that works.... I'll fire it up and make sure it's not DOA.
