Walmart has the iPhone 11 (64GB Black only) for Verizon/AT&T for only $449 on an installment plan with no trade-in required. All the other colors were sold out. This seemed like the best price I could find online without a trade-in on an installment plan.
I would have but I have a loyalty plan with Verizon and they won't give me 5G access unless I pay $30/month more for their newer unlimited plans.
FYI- I also have a loyalty plan on Verizon. I went into BB and received $440 trade in value for my XR, towards an iPhone 12. Verizon said I would be charged $10 extra per month if I ever access the 5G ultra wide band network. So, as soon as the phone was activated, I went into the settings and turned off 5G. This way, I got to upgrade to the 12, keep my existing plan and not ever get charged any extra fees
I wouldn't suggest that right now - the "5G" is last decade's "4G". 5G UWB is the real route but is VERY limited and frankly dependent on where Verizon placed its antennas in the city.
Honestly though....this is a deal about the iPhone 11, so I'm sure OP would have went for the 12 if they weren't looking for deals

I am positive. The trade in promo was through Best Buy, meaning it was their promotion for my XR trade in, NOT Verizon's. They didn't care what plan I had. I went into a store this past Sunday and did this after first seeing that my XR was being given a $440 trade in value on bestbuy.com

gotcha. how did the tradein work? $440 applied directly to purchase?

Total price was $854.44 (I'm in CA, so that's $800 plus tax)
Normal Trade value for XR: $300
BB Trade in promo for XR: +$140
So after those discounts from the trade in, new cost to me came out to $414.44
I then had to put $100 down and pay the tax upfront ($154.45)
After you take away $154.45 from $414.44, I was left with $259.99 split evenly over 24 months on my Verizon bill (or I can choose to pay off early, if I want)
Sorry for asking what is Verizon Loyalty Plan ? Is it Unlimited ?
Loyalty plans, the way I have always thought of them, could be a number of different plans, that are no longer available. More like discontinued/ grandfathered plans

No prob! Hope it works out. I have been holding out for a $200-$300 gift card from Walmart or Target, but looks like that's not happening this year. So this has the best deal I've been able to find so far

Which plan do you have? I have the New Verizon Plan Unlimited (the $110 plan that is now grandfathered) and I thought I'd have a similar issue with 5G but it turns out they're including it. If you open the Verizon app and go to Account->Manage Plan, it should show you if it is included or not. Mine says "Unlimited 5G/4G LTE data (+22 GB premium data)". I'm pretty sure that only popped up when I added a Samsung Note20 to the account. My husband said "hey look it says I have 5G!" so I immediately checked to see if we were being charged more or if they'd somehow changed the plan but nope it is included and no extra fees.
My wife is currently on Go Unlimited Loyalty plan...from reading the "details" on the check out page, I think we lose this loyalty plan if we upgrade through this deal...the "details" read: If your line has a legacy unlimited data feature and you continue with your upgrade, you will lose unlimited data and will be put on a 2 GB plan for $30/month plus all applicable upgrade fee, line access fee and all other fee charges and taxes. If your line has any other plan, your plan will not be changed with this transaction.
Does anyone have any previous experience with this?
