Starting December 20th customers on an eligible plan with at least 2 paid lines can add a line for free.
Eligible SOC list: https://i.imgur.com/LZegl3r.jpg
Please note: There's a lot of misinformation and confusion around this promo. Inevitable when a promo like this happens half a month after an identical one just ended. Here are some critical nuggets of info:
- The promo is called "2020 Line On Us 4"
- It is fully stackable with "2020 Line On Us 3"
- Internal docs mention a scenario where it isn't stackable. It is referring to "third line free" promos and only to accounts opened on the 20th or later. This appears to be causing confusion.
- The promo seems to be showing on accounts as line on us 3 (double if you already had it). It's a known issue and being worked on. Will not affect eligibility.
Offer now available. Some reps are not yet aware of the promo's existence, so please be patient with them. You can also add the line as normal online and the promo will automatically apply within a bill cycle.
Ineligible stackable promos:
- iPhone 12 "on us" (2020 Apple Trade Activate P3)
- BOGO iPhone (2020 Apple Buy 2 P11)
- Free Galaxy A71 5G with new line (2020 Samsung Activate P12)
- Free OnePlus 8/8T+ 5G with new line (2020 OnePlus Activate P5)
- Costco BYOD promos
- TFB-exclusive promos

The last two lines were free, so they cant apply kickback to something which costs $0 (I did try, though)
They applied One Plus promo when I asked. I mainly cited that my other lines already have it, and Id like them to all have the same feature set. No problem on the three occasions that I have asked them to do so (2017, last month, and tonight).
Mind you, all three occasions, the One Plus Promo was no longer openly available. In 2017,I couldve added the full One Plus (with more in-flight browsing, more hotspot, etc) for $5, but I preferred the free one. I cant remember fully, but I think the 2017 rep added them because my account was created during the time the Promo came about.
When the time comes, Is there a more efficient way than porting out to another carrier and then porting back in?
Unless you're on a greenstone
Grandfathered plan, once you cancel paid line, it cancels the old plan ... if anyone has a world workaround, please enlighten!
Ok...I understand T-Mobile denying the rebate...can't fathom why Costco byod rebate is denied
$75+$55+$25+$25+$25+$25+$25+$25 (8 Lines) = $280 Before autopay
$280 - $40 = $240 after autopay
$280 (8 Lines) + $30 (9th Line) = $310 for 9 Lines before autopay
$310 - $40 = $270 after autopay for 9 lines.
So, the discount for 9th line should be $30, and $20 for lines 1-8. Instead the 9 line plan shows a discount of $30 for all free lines. That is why you are seeing a big drop in your plan total.
Any creative suggestions on what I can do with them?

Is going through iMessage chat a better option??? How are there reps ability to make such changes to plans?? Thanks.
What I dont know is how this will stack up against 50% off on iPhone SE, which actually gets submitted to T-Mo.
If I already have a new T-Mobile SIM card ready to be activated on a new line of service, what do I do? When I try to add a line on-line, it looks like I have to order a new SIM card. Do I need to chat or call in?
New line xxx-xxx-xxxx was added to your account on xx/xx/2020 at xx:xx PM . This line is on the T-Mobile ONE plan for $0.0 per month plus taxes and fees.

Oh...is that considered different than the BYOD that's specifically mentioned in exclusions?

I never have an issue with them adding it to my free lines. Just tell them that you want all your lines to have the same features, be stern!
I just got this done an hour ago and changed the number for the free line I got at Costco earlier.

It previously said: "$20 2020 Line On Us 3 (Additional Lines)"
Now, it says: "$40 2020 Line on Us 3 (Additional Lines)"
