Starting December 20th customers on an eligible plan with at least 2 paid lines can add a line for free.

Please note: There's a lot of misinformation and confusion around this promo. Inevitable when a promo like this happens half a month after an identical one just ended. Here are some critical nuggets of info:
- The promo is called "2020 Line On Us 4"
- It is fully stackable with "2020 Line On Us 3"
- Internal docs mention a scenario where it isn't stackable. It is referring to "third line free" promos and only to accounts opened on the 20th or later. This appears to be causing confusion.
- The promo seems to be showing on accounts as line on us 3 (double if you already had it). It's a known issue and being worked on. Will not affect eligibility.
Offer now available. Some reps are not yet aware of the promo's existence, so please be patient with them. You can also add the line as normal online and the promo will automatically apply within a bill cycle.

They are saying I can either revert back to the old plan or pay for the old This Ones on Us line.
I've heard others successfully have had the promo apply to the 9-12 plan. Looking through old reddits I see the promo at the time looked like it applied up to 12 lines. Seems like something where this promo apples at a line level and the others apply at an account level.
Someone happen to know what the equivalent "Account" level promo is?

it worked for me, and i'm on a military discount. i drove to TMobile and was able to have them tack on another line for free. i just had to pay for activation.
In about 15 minutes, the rep added a new line for me & I walked out Costco w/ a free sim card and $100 Costco shop card rebate form.
On the rebate form, it says " ....allow up to 14 weeks" processing time to receive your Costco shop card.
BYOD exclusion is what I see in OP and everyone is saying. But they were handing a paper out at Costco and it didn't say anything

I get into this argument with my family and friends often. The conclusion is always the same...the best advice and work you get done is always the kind which is done for free. Close friends, your own parents, significant other, and yes, random people on the internet.
I will trust SDers, who have identical and transparent singular motivations as I do (save $$), any day of the week over shady pros who try to act like im the next sucker that they can hoodwink over lack information. We dont withhold our experiences, post pics, links, etc.
