In the interest of not misleading anyone, I'm updating the title, product and the store. The original post is at the bottom. Note the first few comments were with regard to that model only.
There is now a newer model, available for pre-order on B&H for $900 (free shipping):

The newer one seems brighter (3200 vs 2200), has a low input lag of 5 ms, and high refresh rate of 240Hz (under 1080p) so it should be good for gamers. Now it is believed 701 has RGBW color wheel while the 728 has RGBRGB (so more accurate color but less bright).

I wish I didn't get a used Epson (2150) just a couple of days ago. Even a decent entry level 4K projector new would still be worth the extra $400 I would have had to pay over an excellent 1080p one which 2150 is.

At that price, it's obviously a pixel shifted 4K (or really UHD) projector. Have to make this disclaimer so people don't come in with their real 4k vs faux 4k and UHD vs 4K arguments ;-).
P.S.: this is currently on back order so don't buy it if your Super Bowl party depends on it ;-).
UPDATE: I now do not recommend this projector unless you get a price. Please see below discussions about the newer models.

I have never used a soundbar before but if the sound bar support multiple components inputs just like AV receiver, Connect the output of soundbar to projector I think. AV receiver is the ideal choice though
Any updates on when we can these from amazon?

Viewsonic PX727 4K Projector 0 Hours

FWIW, I (OP) actually got a Viewsonic X10-4KE for its short throw.
Amazon
I hooked Apple TV 4K to the projector. The Apple TV auto-sets its resolution to 4K HDR 60Hz for the projector and it doesn't look good at all, even for 4K HDR content from Youtube. Strangely, both my LG and Sony 4K Ultra HDR players do better, perhaps it may have something with do with the 24 Hz (Apple TV doesn't have that), or my Internet connection. In the end, I have to set it to 1080p SDR for the box.
So my overall impression is that this (probably along with other entry-level Viewsonic 4K projectors) is good as a basic and inexpensive 4K projector. If you care a lot about color accuracy, projector placement (very limited or no zoom, optically or digitally, no horizontal keystone, no lens shift) etc, you should probably look elsewhere. I don't play game so I have nothing to say there.
I'll keep mine, because it fits my needs for a) having some 4K/HDR projector, b) having a portable projector. I will be on a fairly long vacation soon so this comes in handy, c) with its short throw and portability, I actually often use it to project to my bedroom ceiling (I have a bad back so I have to lay in bed more than average).

How would the colors compare to the Epson Home Cinema 1060 that's on close out for refurbished ($399)?
Did you try gaming at 1080p instead of 4k? I saw a video that said the 240hz is only at 1080p not 4k.
