i got one for 120 two year ago from staples. it hurts after sitting for more than one hour. my main complain is that the mesh is too lose and you weight end up on the front frames toward your leg, preventing blood circulation. I am 6.1 and weigh 190 lb. ended up giving away shortly after.
i have, between home and my office, HM aeron size B (home and office), HM emboday (office), steelcase amia (office), humanscale freedom (office, easily the worse chair for me), workpro 9000 (home). dollar for dollar, you cannot beat workpro 9000 for my need. i recommend spend a little bit more and get a much better chair.

i'll check it out thanks. does anyone have a referral code for that browser add on h***y? this or the tarance guy? i'm on the short side 5'4 and around 180 but growing to the sides due to the lockdowns. The narrowness of the arm rests on this one scares me. I need something decent to work from home for 4-5 hours and some gaming here and there.

Ironically, most of the people complaining about it being too narrow, I've not had that problem at all. I'm wondering if they have the arms fully extended horizontally. The screws are not in a hole, but in a slot, and you can loosen the screw and slide the arms out. I would guess when they built it they did that, but who knows. Definitely doesn't feel like an airline seat to me, and I actually would hate it even more if the arm rests were any further out.
It depends. My in laws returned a table they bought a while after their membership expired, they just use ours when we go. I think a manager had to approve it. They refunded as Costco cash card though not back to CC, but I believe once you spend some of the cash card you can cash it out. Not sure if this has changed. If things are the same non members can buy stuff with a Costco cash card, but in the past some cashiers rarely encounter this so confusion happens sometimes when they ask for your membership and all you have is the cash card.
The Steelcase has a padded fabric upper and base while the Aeron is a mesh
The Steelcase was quite comfortable for the first 5 years but turned into a back pain generator even though everything visually looked good -- it was replaced by the Aeron. The Aeron is fine - it is heavy, has the meshand a lot of adjustments that once set do not get fiddled with
This one is clearly not as heavy duty as the Aeron, and has fewer adjustments, but it is at least as comfortable and rolls more easily. For home use (extensive since COVID) I actually prefer it to the Aeron since it is not as bulky and we can have 2 office sets in the home office. I have spent many hours per day using it and find it to be comfortable for the height, arm rest and tilt adjustments I chose. For the price difference - $130 vs $400 for a used Aeron it is a no brainer. I noted comments from some people that the chair fell apart after several months. This could be a concern. I have had 1 chair since September and the other since early January. Both look like new so far
