Edit: Think I interested my dad in one for himself, so I can just make use of his F150.
I fit one in my 2003 2-door civic hatchback the other night. I had to take it out of the box and drive home with both front seats folded down, but it had the room.
However, the casters seem really cheap. Very hard plastic wheels and they don't look very strong (and they don't look like they have bearings), more fashion over form. I may actually mount some lower-profile casters I have on them instead (which would lower the units a couple of inches and they would then slide under one of my work tables).
Are these the soft glide drawers that stick in place?
I like the casters on my cheaper unit. These do seem more like H@rbor Freight. Luckily, it's simple to replace. They should also be interchangeable.
I'm kind of interested in one for my camper van build for storage. The cheaper one like I have uses the rod to hold the drawers in place. I don't know if you can get warranty parts on these or if they replace them completely, but we used to be able to order slides and things if you brought in your receipt and the defective part. I know Lowe's won't keep most records and I don't know how the warranty works with Craftsman when bought at another store. I believe Hometown and full-line Se@rs wouldn't cooperate with warranty work on certain things. I worked at each for two years, but it's been 5.
The problem of this one is that it doesn't have the wooden top, which would be great to work over as a benchtop.
Should I just make a wooden top that just fit it? Any suggestions?

I fit one in the back seat of my fusion by removing it from the box. Was tight, and not easy to get in by oneself, so I'd suggest a truck or suv. But it is doable in a larger sedan.

Usually lowes doesn't give military discount on clearance items, we're you able to do it?
