I have 805 fico and they decline my Application for Venture credit card and wasted 1 credit check. I won't be applying any Capital one credit card anytime soon.
Call the reconsideration line, could be an error on the app or a typo. Happened to me before
Keep in mind that you'll also get a hard pull from all 3 bureaus anytime you apply for a Capital One credit card.

Just got this card approve over the weekend and my credit score is down by 7 points. Not sure why it lowered the point this much because I apply and other card from Chase on August and my credit score was only decreased by three point.
this Quicksilver card had 3 ver.
w/$200 bouns for excellent;
no annual fee for ok, fair credit;
$39 or $49 annual fee for poor credit
P2 score only 660 since she opened FREEDOM and discover card 1 year, they provide 0% APR so carring balance to make credit utilization high.
P2 Recently trying to apply BOA cash Rewards card w/ $200 offer, but got decline, probably involved too much % balance on other 2 account
However, this Quicksilver $200 bonus ver. said required "excellent credit" passed right away.
I think C1 like ppl with a lot of balance on other accounts which mean C1 got possiblity to make money for Balance trasfer/ carring babalce interest/ or late fees....
since my example: My credit is always 800+, but applied Ventue series, got declined twice, finally passed last year for venture X. C1 seems not like excellent credit w/ carring low balance customer
Credit cards are great when properly used (i.e. never carry a balance, 2%+ back)... but if you can't properly use them then by all means cut them up and cancel all your cards so you don't go into debt with high interest rates.
Yeah, so when you "use them properly" as I did and they reward you by increasing your interest rate from 7% to 22%... I stand by what I said, so what if I never paid interest because I never carried a balance. It's the principle of the matter.
Good luck with that. You will never be able to rent a car or get a hotel room without a credit card.
I do it all the time with a debit card and MY money....... I have not had a "credit" card in over 10 years and stand by my statement that I do not regret it one bit. You do you boo boo.
Not really related to this CC but I do have this card. Has anyone used the Cap One extension with B&H Photo Video? I have an offer for 20% back and was thinking of trying to use it on a 4090 on their website. I don't see any limitations or terms for the offer which is weird...
scammers using credit history to predatorily collect. don't trust this company, wells fargo or bank of africa, us bank and certainly not juliette morgan

BTW that's 3 credit checks. Not 1. It's Capital One.
Outside of the bonus, why would anyone use this over a 2% card?
I use mine for foreign transactions. It's one of the only cards I have that doesn't charge any fees. I have 1 recurring webhost fee in Canada and another in Europe. I also recently ordered a Carfax report from a reseller and he is also located outside the US.

To quote the ever popular Frank Abagnale clip on debit cards "They are certainly and truly the worst financial tool ever given to the American consumer."
Why would you ever expose your personal finances and money when you spend money on things? That is exactly what you are doing when you sign up with a debit card, swipe a debit card or attach your bank account information to something. All you are doing is inviting financial liability into your life, full stop.
When you pay with a credit card you are spending someone else's money, you are not exposing yourself to anything. Something goes wrong? It's their problem, not yours. As long as you understand how to not over spend and actually pay off your bills(which you claim to understand) then there is absolutely zero downsides. You never get charged interest, you never get charged any fee's, you never take on any liability. Not only that but they also PAY YOU for the privilege of doing so with these kinds of cash back cards and the like.
You get to leave your money in you savings account earning you a few percent a year or your money market account earning you a few percent a year or anywhere else where that money can actually do work for you and grow for you. All you are doing by using "your debit card and YOUR money" to buy things is losing money.
So you keep on "doing you boo boo", exposing yourself to financial risk/liability and getting taken advantage of by your banking institution while the rest of us are getting paid to spend someone else's money
