Some electric utilities have rebates for energy efficient air cleaners. For example, Silicon Valley Power (Santa Clara, CA) has a $75 rebate on up to 3 units, and this Winix C545 model is on the Energy Star list [energystar.gov] with >150cfm so it qualifies for the full $75 rebate each: https://www.siliconvall
That's a net cost of just $25 per air purifier!
Filters are hard to get cheap, not a lot of 3rd party, though compatible with different version I think S, if this is S then maybe C , cant keep them straight
I hate that it has no remote, and you cant add a remote, only option is to use app
No auto off after specific time
Given COVID , I wish I had one with a UV light

These lasted 10 months before the said I need a new HEPA filter. Around the same time I had 1 break. Costco took it back and gave me a refund. I bought 3 more and used the filters to to replace my dirty ones. When I bought them last March, they only had 1 set. Now it's almost a better deal to buy a new Winix just for the filters. I have 2 new units in my garage without filters. A 1 year filter set is typically $45, or this deal with 2 years and a new unit for $100. You decide
2.4 only
Press two buttons right under it (I think they are up and down buttons) together for three seconds.
Those are superior to this. They cheaped out majorly on these.
The front panel mechanism is cheap, the fan is cheaper, and it's just a general downgrade.

Just ordered one and I'll submit for a price match when it goes on sale in a couple weeks.
UV lights in air purifiers don't do much. The UV light needs a lot more time to kill anything that's in the air. The air moved too fast through the machine for it to do much.

Also, to kill Covid, you need a purifier that has UVC.
