Love this remote start, got it last year at this price. Ask the installer to program your factory remote, it can also be use to start your car if you don't want to carry an additional remote (note the range will not be as long and you don't get the 2 way notice).

In this case, you would press the lock button three times in a row to remote start the vehicle.

Yup but best buy near me did where you press lock, unlock, lock since most ppl press lock button multiple times when lock their cars and accidentally turning the car on.

How does it work on the factory remote? What if my remote only has lock and unlock plus alarm buttons?

Make sure to double-check that this will work on your car, there are some Acura models, and probably others that this doesn't work on and they'll install it anyway. Good deal if it works with your car.

I got this done fall 2020 and shortly thereafter I started having parasitic drain issues. My battery would be totally dead within a few days, and eventually less than one day. I can't guarantee this caused it, but remote starting also sets off the alarm 80% of the time...so something is obviously wrong with the installation.

Been meaning to go back to BBY to get it fixed, but various Covid-related issues one after another for the last several months.

The installation included makes this remote start essentially free. These things are a pain in the ass to install yourself and take forever.

Can this remote fully replace my Honda Accord remote - just carry this remote? It looks like it has all the buttons - lock, unlock and truck open.
