Can you elaborate? This is the first I've seen this mentioned.
String Trimmer + battery
Blow + battery
Hedge Trimmer + battery
And also the edger
All at different times ~6 months apart.
The first two batteries life is much shorter then battery 3. And the 1st battery overheats almost instantly in the edger.
In a few months battery 3 will hit its 3 year mark, and I'm guessing it will start dying just like the first 2.

Jeez. That sucks. My original Gen1 battery from 2015 is still going strong. Although I rotate between 4 different batteries between backpack blower and string trimmer.

Oh wow, that's terrible luck.
I've got the string trimmer + 530 blower with 2.5ah kit. I haven't noticed an issue... Yet. Though I expect if there will be issues it'll show up now that we've moved from a 5k sqft yard to a 25k sqft yard.
I just picked up the 16" chainsaw with 5ah for some trees.
Hopefully the batteries hold out as they're expensive!

Had 2, 2ah batteries, for a couple years now and used them look twice a week for general yard work and they both still work fine and last just as long is seems
Doing a terrible job of trying to measure my mowable lawn size using google maps and I've got about 5500 square feet
