The version which was 50 dollars cheaper had a 500 GB SSD

Too pricey for a Max-Q, in my opinion.

Edit: to be clear, this isn't a terrible deal. It's just not the cheapest it's been, nor does it match my needs for the price. Otherwise, it is a decent buy given availability.

Only thing a little bad about this one is that the hot exhaust blows against the bottom of the screen (because of the ergo lift design). That part gets a little toasty when gaming...

Guys before down voting please keep in mind that this laptop has been out of stock and yes they hiked up the price and yes it's max qpu . But it has a qhd screen and the latest ryzen 9 chip. IMHO still worth it for the compact build and specs

I bought this yesterday at 1799, had been waiting on it to come back in stock. Same specs, they just upped the price $50. I've researched them all; spent dozens of hours. Nothing comes close to this combination of features for this price.

One memory stick is soldered. So once you want to upgrade the other memory stick, you lose dual channel memory speed. What were Asus engineers thinking when they made such a stupid design decision?

This laptop is so crippled. DO NOT BUY! You have been warned.
