1. Don't mine on laptop with low power profile, even with underclocking the core it is lower wattage for optimum Eth algo.
2. Don't mine on laptop due to restricted airflow in general.
3. Just don't mine on laptop as such 😂
4. Just don't mine 😂😂 let gamers at the least have the laptop to play with.
80w RTX 3070, with dynamic boost occasionally reach 95w if CPU not demanding
Lack of HDMI 2.1 ports, only provide HDMI 2.0 and it's wired through iGPU
No mux switch or advanced optimus, everything went through iGPU first, thus missing a lot of features could potentially increase performance on a QHD panel like image scale and fast sync.
8G memory is soldered on motherboard and it's 1Rx16 chip, no matter how you upgrade the other half, system performance is reduced 10-15% compare to upgradeable memory to 2Rx8 stick.
Overall, I quite like the muted design and QHD panel but the performance is lacking, and Asus did everything they could to prevent you from getting maximize performance. I eventually went to Legion 7 in favor of 140w RTX 3070 and mux switch with similar price around $1300 count all cashbacks and rewards back on BF.

4. That's neither here nor there, mining at the moment is practically an unstoppable force, a boycott will do nothing. Unfortunately.
Source, I have a several types of gaming laptops that I mine on when they aren't in use. All of them do fine, from a low profile Asus to a full on Alienware gaming laptop.
Open box fair is $1336! My guess is it's a model with a bad thermal paste job, this is where those that are confident in repasting laptops have an advantage

Performance on this thing is great, and battery life is even better, but ultimately it was hard for me to get past the plastic feel on a $1500 laptop.
