I've had no issues with lock failures on Kershaw or CRKT knives. They tend to make good value knives with some interesting designs. I think I had some lock integrity issues with a CRKY M16 but honestly that's probably because the screws kept coming loose. A little threadlock will take care of it if I see it again.
There have been plenty of destructive tests against many popular knife models, the 110 does quite well. OTOH, the Onion and Hinderer Kershaws and ZTs hold up quite well, and most of the CRKTs do, too. (I like that CRKT does more experimenting with lock styles. Their snap lock, while I'm not sure about its strength, is a slick way to open and lock a knife - they have numerous other mods and innovations in that area. That's one thing I'd like to see more out of Kershaw).
Anyway, use what works. If you're used to those brands, you'd probably find the Buck rather heavy. They've used the same design for 60 years and while they may exist, I've never seen one with skeletonized liners or any other attempt to save weight. Weighs damn near half a pound. I carry multiple knives every day and combined they may weigh less than that one knife despite beign a similar length. There is plenty of steel to keep that lock solid but honestly unless I'm already wearing heavyish clothes with a belt, it's going to be annoying.
OTOH, it is heavyish and that may not work for everyone. I wouldn't expect a pair of elastic shorts to stay up with this thing in a pocket. I believe it's heavier than most cellphones (though there are surely exceptions like phablet-sized models).
It's worth keeping something like this around if you like knives and it will hold up well over time. This is a good price, not unheard of, but good. It would be hard to beat most of the time. I have a clone of it that I think is a fine knife. I just prefer newer designs with one-hand opening (and closing, if possible). Almost everyone who holds this likes it, so you're unlikely to regret it.

They stopped using Rosewood in 2019 and went back to Ebony.

WAY too heavy to carry. If I'm putting anything on my belt and its that heavy it's gonna be a multi-tool.
Not super easy to open and close either.
I LOVE that it's made in 🇺🇸 but better options at this price point.
Btw you can't compare this to the Bugout. It's got S30V steel, not a lock back and is almost triple the price (~ $100)

The 110 is not made from Chinese steel. It is 420HC cut and processed through the plant plus Paul Bos Heat treated. It's very strong.

Not a bad deal for a knife newb, but not my style
