For a $2k purchase, I wouldn't put a ton of stock in what people on a forum say in regards to whether or not it's a good deal.

No bud it's for the geek squad warranty for 5 years… they protect against burn in which most warranties don't dare to cover. Burn in is common in OLED and IMO it's worth the peace of mind. This CPS warranty service is complete garbage according to all the reviews I found online so don't be fooled. Sure you get a $100 gift card so you're basically getting the tv for $100 off. Again peace of mind is everything. Bestbuy is everywhere buydig I've never heard of until yesterday.
One thing I did notice though is there's no tax with buydig.com is this actually true? Obviously I haven't finished the checkout but if so that's pretty dang good.
Not sure if this has been posted yet but rtings.com released an article top 65" TV and this was at the very top of the ratings list. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...ze/65-inch

I highly doubt this is true and sure you're over clocking the tv but the g1 if I'm not mistaken has a heat sink and heat removing elements to it? Whereas the c1 doesn't… I wouldn't even dare to mess with those settings.

Thanks "Bud" ..
I have owned numerous OLEDs since the 2nd gen and never had an issue with burn in. Just don't watch Fox News for 20 hrs a day, and you will be all set. Don't be scared.
and yes, you are charged tax with BuyDig.
so yes, spending 500 on a best buy warranty that you probably wont use, is redic. But hey, its your money.
Wow that's pretty crazy stuff so basically you're paying an extra $300-$500 for a 2mm thick tv instead of the 3mm the c1 has?… just to give it that "gallery" look? That's pretty hardcore.

All four HDMI ports are 2.1 that supports 4K 120, ALLM, and VRR.
The G1 also has the five year warranty from LG, that supposedly covers burn in. For some, that might make the price difference not so big. Even more so when the G1 starts getting more price cuts and especially when it's finally up for sale by "green eggs and ham"
