I don't know if I'd be ready to trust Eufy yet with an indoor camera after they let other people view others camera feed and recordings history.

I started with Wyze, then upgraded to Eufy based on the "easy RTSP" and 2k statements. However, there is some misinformation about it. In case it helps somebody, Eufy's RTSP stream is limited to 1080p, not 2k. That matches Wyze. I added all my indoor cameras to Blue Iris and blocked their Internet access. The Eufy app doesn't allow you to access the cameras without Internet even if you are connected to the LAN, but the RTSP stream works and you can access the recordings via Blue Iris/other NVR.

Inside my living room. It seems like it's not working through glass window at night time. I can see things inside but not outside when it's dark. Do you think it's because of window ? Any product do you recommend that I can see at night through window sensor 🤔

Use the RTSP functionality with a NAS and set up your own private storage solution. No need to pay for cloud. I like these cameras. Rock solid

I don't have this camera but I have a wyze camera pointing through a window which behaves like that at night if there's any light coming from within the camera as it's reflecting off the window. The wyze camera settings allow you turn this off so it works at night, for wyze the settings you turn off are night vision ir light and camera status light. Eufy may have similar settings to turn off any lights.

That's the setup I have. You have to leave the night vision off and then have a light on outside. Then it works. At night when people are up and lights are on inside, it will trigger off of the indoor movement. So I have mine schedule to not record alerts until after we're in bed. Works great!

I know it will work with microsd 128GB but wondering if this will work with Samsung EVO Select microSDXC Memory 256GB?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, pan and tilt still work in the Eufy Security app just fine when you have HomeKit enabled. Within the Home app or other HomeKit apps you will only have a live video feed available without the pan/tilt control.

They are both the Solo IndoorCam P24. Same model. Unless you meant to post a link or photo of what you currently have as well...?

There is a setting called "Auto Night Vision" in the Eufy Security app that you can turn off if you are trying to view outdoors from inside a window. You are likely seeing glare on the window from the IR night vision lighting. These are the lights around the camera lens that look like red dots in the dark if viewed with the naked eye. The only catch here is you will need decent lighting inside and out if you choose to turn off the night vision setting.

Probably your best bet for night viewing through a window (after you turn off night vision/IR) would be the Wyze Cam V3, but there are no pan/tilt functions with that camera. https://wyze.com/wyze-cam.html

Nope. 128 max until/unless they do a firmware update sometime to support it. Not yet, though.

For what it's worth, I have a 128GB Samsung EVO card in mine with it set to record continuously (not just motion events) at 1080p resolution with audio and I get nearly 2 months of footage before it deletes the oldest stuff. As I type this, my recordings go all the way back to April 28th.

I think context is important for anyone considering a eufy purchase. Opinions and reviews can be helpful, but I would advise people to go to the source.

As for what Avidwa is referring, please see below:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www....nt-details

712 users impacted and eufy corrected the problem with an updated patch within two hours.
I am very familiar with eufy security. You have the option to store data locally or in the cloud (eufy uses AWS). Eufy customer service is top notch. In my experience, they have been quick to take action and resolve issues I may be having. If I had lost faith over this company as a result of a firmware bug, I would not be writing this.

Do a little research, Look up secuity incidents that involve ring, reolink, nest etc..You will not have any issues finding them. Compare what you have read to incidents with eufy and make a decision based off of that.

Thank you for the information! How do you recieve firmware updates via eufy if you have inbound traffic blocked? What NAS did you end up with for RTSP?

In case I want to upgrade firmware, I allow Internet access to the cameras again and upgrade them. But honestly, I rather not upgrade them. Initially, RTSP required Internet to work based on a few reddit threads I came across. With the latest version, that's not the case so I don't want to upgrade the firmware in case Eufy decides to change their action plan. My data is locally secured in its own vlan and Blue Iris takes care of motion alerts. Blue Iris is locked to LAN access only and I have an OpenVPN server (it could be a raspberry pi) that I connect automatically when my phone is outside home.

For NAS, I built a Blue Iris PC with 1TB and store 7 days of recording there. It is faster to access. For 7+ days I use a 8TB Synology Disk station.
