It works for me. Just aim carefully when you throw the box at the ants and bugs.
Yes. Obliterates ants.

You can find better instructions online, but the easiest way to do this is to mix borax powder with sugar in water. Then soak cotton balls in the borax/sugar water and place them around where the ants are a problem. For a few hours, they will feast. Then they are all gone
A laundry cleaning booster and I make a borax powder ring around my house every year as a bug deterrent. I also mix it half and half with powdered sugar to kill ants.

And buffers the ph. Has probably halved my chlorine cost in a pool I take care of. Also doesn't go away so you add a big amount at opening and the only stuff you lose is when you backwash.

To add to this point - it has a specific use in pools in addition to being a water optimizer (sparkle and silky feel). It raises PH and raises Alkalinity (TA). So if my pH is low, I always use borax to raise it since it allows me to squeeze in some more "optimizer". It is also an algaecide and gives another dimension to your chlorine for algae prevention.

If you've never used borates, you can get up to the high level at one time through a process on Troublefreepool.com that alternates Muratic acid to drive down TA and pH, and adding borates.

supposed to kill mildew also. if you have mildew on fabric that you can't use bleach on, you can use Borax dissolved in water.

I wonder if this method will work on Chipmunks?

Sprinkle on a damp sponge to clean fiberglass showers and tubs. I does a good job and doesn't scratch the finish.

For anyone looking for a price comparison, Walmart has the same sized box for $4.47 each. Pretty good deal, but a single box lasts a really long time for me.

This is great. Put it on TokTok and make it a challenge. You'd be next Thanos for dumb teens as they try it on themselves.

I get the 10 mule team box. It's only half as powerful, but it's also half the price if you don't need that many mules.

Be careful before you start adding chemicals to your pool. Make sure you have a good quality tester that can check alkalinity and pH levels. Always adjust alkalinity first as PH readings may not be accurate if alkalinity is not in correct range. Adjust your alkalinity by adding baking soda. The baking soda will raise the alkalinity and also raise the PH just slightly. Then adjust the PH by adding Borax. Borax will raise the PH, but not raise alkalinity.

I use all three items below as some times I want to raise both the alkalinity and PH at the same time.

Washing Soda (Sodium Carbonate) - raise alkalinity and PH
Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) - raise alkalinity and slightly raise PH
Borax (Sodium Borate) - raise PH only

Yeah gotta becareful with baking soda - it'll dramatically raise alkalinity - lowering alkalinity is a pain in the REAR as the best method requires handling of muriatic acid and lots of aerating of the water to negate the acids pH hit.

Using borax in your laundry will get rid of the mold/mildew buildup in your machine which after years will make all your laundry smell like used rags.
