How will one know if they qualify for the bonus? I thought I had a ThankYou card before but I can't remember if we closed it within the time requirements. I would hate to get a card, spend the money on it and then be surprised that the bonus didn't post.
Not sure about knowing before approval, but after approval I received a letter with the bonus mentioned. There's a spending tracker for the bonus in the online account as well. I presume if you see these things then you qualify. Not sure on how to be 100% sure before applying though.

I don't use the app, so I'm not sure. There is a tracker on the Citi website when you view your earned points.

Something to note: this card also has American Airlines as a transfer partner thru the first week of November. So, if you get this card and meet the minimum spend before early November you should be able to transfer the 80k+ points to AA...
This was the reason I got it today. 80k miles totally worth it for us.

I just redeemed points on my Premier for 1cpp a week ago using direct deposit. They changed this back in May-ish time ahead of this elevated offer.

So it is $800 for 80,000 pts?

Another bad move from you after closing several oldest accounts from your mere credit card portfolio!

Never, under any circumstances, should you close a credit card less than one year after opening it [thepointsguy.com].

People should definitely not cancel their card immediately after the incentive ends [cnbc.com].

Would considering this but I am almost out of 5/24 jail and want to add a couple more chase cards to the mix before getting locked up again with Chase.

What is the maximum amount of Chase card one can have?

I just got approved for the Citi Custom Cash last week. I doubt I will be approved again for another card in a short period of time from Citi. FICO 825, 3% utilization, 15 years of average age of credit.
Considering you have a high score, I wouldn't risk it. Wait at leasdt 6 mos between applying for revolving credit.
