How's the android tv OS on this thing? Android TV is incredibly frustrating on my Sony. Wonder if there are differences between android tv smoothness between tvs.

From a little hit of research

"Unlike the U7G, its peak brightness reaches a premium 1500 nits, and Local Dimming uses 132 zones. The other specs of these series are identical. "

Meaning if you're gonna watch in a bright area, go with u8g. This is from the website appliance review.

Btw to someone asking, ULED is just hisense version of QLED

Saw a bunch of 75" Hysense 4K TVs at Walmart for around this price, yesterday morning. Am I missing something? I assumed the brand was shit. Was I wrong?

If it's anything like the H8G that we bought a couple of months ago, it's pretty snappy. We did have to recently clear the cache but that's probably because we heavily use the streaming apps such as YouTube and Hulu. I was actually impressed by how much quicker it is than roku boxes and what not.

Also if anyone has doubts with Hisense, keep this in mind: We bought the H8G (amazing TV btw) and used a small portion of the money we saved (if we had bought a similarly spec'd namebrand TV) to buy BestBuy's protection plan. The brand has a QA issue but you've a great chance on not getting lemon and if you don't get one, the performance is incredible; Deep blacks, nice contrast, local dimming, etc.

I can EASILY say my $500 (thats with protection plan) H8G is just as good, if not better, than the current $900 Samsung "equivalent"
