I got open box from BB for $210. So totally like $750, definitely not as good as the last deal for 950A for $770 or something. But no regrets, the sound quality and Atmos actually works really well for my living room.

However, it looks like the Q900T does not have any satellite speakers which means no real surround sound. I didn't find either of the Q900 models as cheap as $450 on Amazon. Were you looking at the Q800T?

From the several reviews I've seen the Samsung is considered better but definitely not twice as good if you are talking about this discounted $500 or $450 price point.

I was also bothered by that "design" choice. This most likely reveals that they either have no QA/UAT (Quality Assurance/User Acceptance Testing) department or the person testing that part of the website needs to find another job. I won't blame the developer because he or she was likely told to code it that way or the requirements weren't made clear enough.
EDIT: Or the developer was given too much creative liberty and decided to troll millions of customers with an ambiguous button to draw attention to a lack of product direction.

Even my order confirmation e-mail made no sense. Below the soundbar there is a line that says, "phone number you're transferring" with last 4 digital of some number I'm not associated with and then next line is my mobile number. What the hell? There is definitely some major lack of oversight on their store process.

yall trusting that site going with the samsung with NO SURROUND SOUND?!? using gimmick tactics ilike others 9.1 11.1 but its only all on one soundbar?!?
Might as well not even get either. Review says samsung is better because it gets louder? lol ok put on nice movies that have great sound stage and it will lose everytime. even games, the whole point of "SURROUND" and now "ATMOS" is to be immersed in the soundfield hearing sounds surrounding you are proper queues on what you are watching to really bring you into the film/game as if you were in the theater.
if all one cares about is front sound stage, why waste it on overpriced samsung. no matter what technology and crap no one can ever replicate true positioned speakers around you with everything compressed up front on one bar.
just get that yamaha atmos receiver at costco for $300 and buy 2 speakers and a sub for another $200 and youll have also nice sound stage and it will get loud AF but at least when you are ready to hear real surround sound you have a receiver that can add more speaks.
discussions like this is like talking to those people who do have 5.1 and up systems with speakers around and put the receiver to an ALL CHANNEL DSP so each speaker is playing the same thing even on movies and claim they are watching like they are in the theatre and surround sound like how its meant to be because its LOUD lol

Bruuuh, you post all that but can't be bothered to read the whole paragraph which said EXACTLY what you did in the second to last sentence:
"That said, the JBL is better built, with better soundstage and surround performances.
I've watched several reviewers who compared the JBL 9.1 with the Samsung which has surround. Every one of them said the Samsung had better clarity. JBL is known to be like Beats- very bass heavy. Yes, the average non-audiophile doesn't care about a balanced sound but if there is good lows/bass it will seem better sounding to them.
The surrounds on the JBL based off the reviews I've seen says the surrounds and subwoofer perform better than the Samsung. Also dropouts occur less often in the JBL.
Nobody ever claimed these systems are better than separate speakers. This is a good solution for those that don't want to or can't (live in an apartment) run wires in the wall or mount speakers in the ceiling. Yes, the claim for 9.1 is a marketing gimmick when actually this JBL is a 5.1.4. It has 5 ear level speakers and 4 upward facing speakers. It created an EFFECT that replicates what separate speaker placement would sound like by bouncing sound off walls and the ceiling. It will be more immersive than just a 5.1 surround soundbar setup. Overall reviewers are impressed how well it works and it's a great option for the reasons I mentioned.
In the end for the average user who likes bass-heavy music or as you say - plays the same thing on all channels- this will be impressive. I consider myself a little better informed than the average user and I'm sure I will be impressed too. On top of all that at $450-500 this is a steal for an all-in-one ATMOS system.
I received my shipping confirmation at 7:30 pm PT last night
Still nothing.
