Is this an IPS panel like the 75 U7 is (unfortunately)? I was looking at the 55 in U6 and it looked really good for a $530 TV. The 65 U7 looked awesome tho.

TV has rock solid picture quality & a good living room tv.

One drawback, no 120hz or gamery features 😃 if those don't matter. Buy with confidence!

All of these Hisense units are real tempting with such positive reviews from rtings. Does anyone have any idea how they'd hold up longer term?

I cant speak for everyone, ive had an h8c for 5 yrs. Only issues are the same as ive had with all smart tvs. Maybe once a month i need to unplug it.

Overall you would probably find hisense to have slightly higher qc issues than say higher end samsung or sony models.

Note the rting review is for the 65" with the VA panel. 75" is probably is an IPS panel like the U7G. Wouldn't really make sense for them to have two different types of 75" panels with them being so cost conscious.

Too bad I don't have that new house to put this TV in. Hisense is the best value for cost you can get today.

Rtings should be taken with a grain of salt and used more as a base line than set in stone fact. Tolerances/QC exist.

I had an early 65" U6G that was pretty bad. Another comment mentions the 75" might be IPS. YMMV.

According to this, it is a VA panel.

Ok but there were reports that the u7 75 was VA too, which was eventually found out to not be the case. These prob come from the same place for the same market. Guess more 75 specific info and reviews will roll in at some point.

I've had a hisense 4k tv for 5 years, no issues whatsoever.

Have several hisense TVs over the years. All still running, the oldest is close to 7 years old

As others have mentioned, this is probably an IPS panel like what is used in the 75 U7G. Essentially the same TV minus the 4K120hz and Freesync.

I own the 75 U7G and you should know it looks absolutely awful unless you're sitting directly in the center of the display at eye level. When you're in that sweet spot, it looks as good as my 65" LG CX OLED. When you move in any direction, it's game over. https://imgur.com/a/zOXcvgU

Shouldn't an IPS panel be good for off center/ wide angle viewing?
