Many different approaches, rtings.com has some calibration pages you can use to adjust color/etc if you hook it up to HDMI on a PC or something to display them. You can get Blu-ray Discs with calibration images as well. Properly tuning requires equipment to measure, likely too expensive to be worth it on these TVs. A simple calibration with some web page images is your best bet I believe.

EDIT: Also, most of the time you can just go to a review and they'll share their tuned settings. Those are probably going to be good enough for most people.

Got my mother in law the 50" version and it's fantastic. But huge note for anyone that buys it, spend some time tuning the picture and settings. A few people were disappointed until they realized it just needed to be tuned.

You sure have a lot of different model Hisense TVs. Seems you have commented on at least 6 different models saying you owned them. You hate them so much you have to buy every model.

How to tune? Did you adjust colors? Or just main settings

I got this TV, debloat most of the bloatware and use a barebone launcher. It's a lot faster than stock launcher with all the advertising and suggestions.

I love mine.save me an extra HDMI for if I was to hook up my own google tv or roku.

For the price, this thing is great. Note that the stand is slim and pretty wide and can be put in 2 positions inside or outside near the edge. It look and feel filmsy to support this much weight. We ended up hanging it up

We just got the 55" during Black Friday and it's a very nice tv for the price. Haven't noticed any issues and the Xbox Series X has been flawless on it. I would say it's equally as nice as the 65" Vizio M we have from 2019 in the living room

Like the others said, definitely follow the rtings calibration settings and then tune from there

FYI - There are now reports that in addition to the 75U7G being IPS, some 75U6G also ship with IPS so there is a panel lottery for this model of whether VA or IPS. Most made for US are being reported as VA, but some IPS are showing up. Here's a US 75U6G with an IPS display:
https://www.avsforum.com/threads/...t-61263711

Hisense Canada confirmed that those made for the Canada market are IPS, but said the US ones are made in a different factory. With all the crazy supply chain stuff going on, it wouldn't surprise me if there is some substitution happening with panels.

For mine, the color was fine, but I turned off almost every "Auto" setting and a few other things. It was terribly dull at first. You'll be able to determine what it needs with each panel being a bit different for what adjustments are needed. I typically will go to an 8K sample video on Youtube (to ensure the quality is maxed and colors are bright and obvious, and I'll se what adjustments are needed to hit where I want them. Not professional in any way, but I'm happy with how I dial it in.

And I always tell people (Especially my mother in law) that the TV can only work with the source it has. Trying to watch a show from the 70s-80s? Don't expect it to be any better than it was back then. It'll upconvert to a degree, but the source is your limit.

My TCL tv can use a USB stick to record/rewind live tv.
Does this Hisense have any similar capabilities? I may move my TCL to another room and replace it, if this TV has that feature.

I just took a picture of the pixels in my 75U6G and they look like those posted in the AVS forum, that people are guessing is ADS. A simple picture using my iPhone clearly shows the RGB pattern.

I posted in a previous thread that 75U6G's manufactured starting around June of this year are different than those I saw displayed in stores, with manufacture dates of Jan/Feb. The new ones are 300 watts (vs 350), have 2 options for leg width, and have a back that looks completely different than the pictures on Best Buy and Hisense websites.

I'm going to guess that the original 75's were VA and they were changed to ADS, which is causing all of the confusion. It also explains why some folks here complained about bad viewing angles while others are saying they're great.

That could very well be the case. The Rting 75" was clearly VA and their review score reflects that. I am probably be one of the few that would be happier with the ADS/IPS screen because of viewing angles. Downside of course is lower contrast. How do you like yours?

That's right. Sorry. I was thinking of a comment in another thread where one of the rtings guys said they confirmed a VA panel in a 75", but clearly not all the 75" have the VA panel, as the rting tech confirmed from the photo in the avsforum thread I linked.
