Just purchased a Hisense 75" Class U6G Series Quantum ULED 4K UHD Smart Android TV on clearance for $500.99 (listed at $779.99 online on clearance). They did not have any available in the store but a display was setup advertising the price and free delivery. When they ordered it the price automatically updated to the listed in store price.

There was an end cap display with a demo tv set up. Below it was a sign that said the $500.99 and "free delivery by 8/12" When the employee punched up the order, it automatically rang up for the $500.99. The sign specified the delivery date so for some reason this deal was set up this way. This was the first time I've ever seen being able to order a clearance item at the in store marked price but I rarely shop at Best Buy in recent years so maybe it's normal now? Anyways its YMMV because for now the online price remains higher.

Please begin because as someone who is trying to legitimately contribute to the community I'd like to know what I did wrong. I saw a fantastic deal that I was able to get in store and decided to share the details so maybe others are able to replicate it. I guess I'll keep it to myself next time. Good day.

It's not a display model, its new. I could have purchased multiple. I am aware of the difference.

There are multiple resellers in my area that would buy up the stock if I posted the location (which could effect national inventory given they are shipping and not physically at that store). I'd rather someone searching for a television for themselves, see this post and have time to be able to check out their local store.

Huh?

How is that any different that the YMMV deals at Walmart and Target?

I have NEVER had luck with those
But people hit Brickseek and drive all over and they make front page

Good lord. People dumping all over the guy for trying to be helpful. It's a clearance deal. Very YMMV. Agree OP should post which store he was at, but beyond that it's a standard YMMV scenario
