I got this TV, debloat most of the bloatware and use a barebone launcher. It's a lot faster than stock launcher with all the advertising and suggestions.

I love mine.save me an extra HDMI for if I was to hook up my own google tv or roku.

For the price, this thing is great. Note that the stand is slim and pretty wide and can be put in 2 positions inside or outside near the edge. It look and feel filmsy to support this much weight. We ended up hanging it up
You did what? You can replace the launcher?

Just had BB take away my old heavy ass Sony CRT from my basement today for the incredibly reasonable price of 30 w the purchase of my new 65 u6. Plus tax but still the best money ever spent as my old back cant do that crap any more and my wife strongly prefers not to help me, lol. Haul away is the bomb but you can also bring sets to BB for recycle for 30 usually. It may even be free for flat panel w purchase. Been just dropping off lingering archaic CRT's in the family recently.

FYI - There is a big retro gaming community into CRT TVs. If you have a CRT, you could post on facebook marketplace where you could actually get a couple bucks for one.

Thought about that but this was easier and I didn't want to wait. Plus I know it will be properly recycled. Marketplace was somewhere between free and 30 asking for a 27" CRT if I wanted to deal with that and hope someone would carry a 106 lbs tv up a narrow staircase from my basement. Something to be said for working with professionals. Plus my wife wanted it gone pronto!

Bought one November 21st with black friday sale price of $850. This is $50 cheaper. So I asked BB for a pricematch and they gave it to me. I am very happy with this TV and even more so with the price. I will definitely look to do more purchasing at BB with how easy it went. Mine seemed pretty decent out of the box but utilized someones recommended settings on reddit after checking rtings. Even better now. I would echo that Im not sure if mine is VA or IPS just by viewing it. Good viewing angle which is important for me. but blacks are plenty black for me.

You sure have a lot of different model Hisense TVs. Seems you have commented on at least 6 different models saying you owned them. You hate them so much you have to buy every model.

Just spend a little more and get the 120hz native version. These tv's are rated as one of the best at handling reflections aka a bright room with lots of windows.

Most SDers would argue that spending
50% more isn't a little.

I have the u7g and it's nothing but a problem from day one. How does this thing get such high reviews with poor software experience. Updates are taking forever, it keeps restarting, some Google apps keeps hanging up, the whole tv hangs up, sometimes the picture freezes. This is just a mess and I have extreme buyers remorse. How do you return this to Hisense and have them refund.

For mine, the color was fine, but I turned off almost every "Auto" setting and a few other things. It was terribly dull at first. You'll be able to determine what it needs with each panel being a bit different for what adjustments are needed. I typically will go to an 8K sample video on Youtube (to ensure the quality is maxed and colors are bright and obvious, and I'll se what adjustments are needed to hit where I want them. Not professional in any way, but I'm happy with how I dial it in.

And I always tell people (Especially my mother in law) that the TV can only work with the source it has. Trying to watch a show from the 70s-80s? Don't expect it to be any better than it was back then. It'll upconvert to a degree, but the source is your limit.
Great suggestions with the 8k sample video. Never thought of that.
