Red Pocket 360-Day deals are back.

8GB plan for $216
https://www.ebay.com/itm/133058350672

3GB plan for $168
https://www.ebay.com/itm/13305847...SwDrBc2cA7

The 8GB plan is a little cheaper than last time and the 3GB plan is a bit more expensive.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I've had CDMA verizon redpocket for almost 2 years, I'd say it's about the same as other verizon mnvo's, all of them seem to have occasional weird coverage issues that I don't think you'd get with verizon proper, but the cost savings are worth it. The only problems are:
1. visual voicemail stops working every few months, you have to call redpocket, they fix it in a 15 minute call, say this shouldn't happen again, and then it only works for another few months.
2. NO TETHERING on current phones! I had a moto x4 up until a few months ago and tethering worked fine. I just switched to a pixel 3a and found out that officially tethering IS NOT ALLOWED and it was just a bug with older phones that allowed it to.

Now I'm looking for a new provider when my year is up in a few months, I'll probably have to go with verizon prepaid.

att gsma redpocket does support tethering but you don't get visual voicemail for free. I took two phones on vacation to some national parks, att redpocket and verizon redpocket. the att usually reported the same signal or one bar higher, however in terms of actual data usability it was about the same, I saw somewhere that maybe att's thresholds for the bar levels are a little lower. But when it really mattered I was able to get just enough intermittent signal from verizon to get an email out whereas att was useless.

Also, att tethering apparently blocks all ports other than standard web traffic, so I had problems with some of my work apps that were fine with verizon.
Only for the few lucky ones who're eligible for this bucks promotion.
For those on or wanting the 20GB plan - which is regularly $336/year via their eBay store - was priced at $300 in late October 2020. I bought that on October 14th to be specific - more than a month before Black Friday.

Also, Red Pocket eBay plans can be applied up to 90 days after purchase... or at least that was the arrangement last year. My October 14 purchase was held and was applied on December 9th.... which from my perspective means I'm already within 90 days of my own renewal so my eyes are open for the next deal on the 20GB plan.

Last - tethering. I can't help anybody tied to or preferring the Verizon network. All I know is it's worked consistently on AT&T for years on every one of my phones.

1GB plan also has a small discount $94 (usually $99) so $7/mo. The 1GB doesn't go on sale nearly as often as the 3GB & 8GB. I think the last time it was $94 was last Dec 2020?

My monthly bill for US Mobile is $100/mo for 4 lines for their Unlimited All service. I submit my Spotify Family and Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ invoices/receipts before my US Mobile bill is due. They subtract the amount I paid for my Spotify Family and Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ from my bill. Instead of paying $100/mo at US Mobile, I pay about $64/mo...or $16/mo per line.
Looks like some people abused the unlimited plan so it got changed:

https://www.usmobile.com/blog/wer...unlimited/

"Update: August 13, 2021

As of today users on Unlimited plans may notice slower speeds on our Super LTE lines after reaching 75GB.
The truth — across the carrier industry — is that offering fully uncapped data is a challenge. There will always be the smallest fraction of customers that will take advantage of our unlimited data to run up enormous data usage on modems and routers, that make it harder for us to offer lower prices to the rest of our customers."

Good catch. Still pretty good deal IMHO. I haven't seen any MVNO come close to US Mobile's Unlimited All plan with all the stuff and perks included.

i've got 5 phones on cricket, grandfathered 10GB plan. i'm moving 4 phones to US Mobile Super LTE unlimited this month. The other phone which never uses data is getting this RP 3GB plan since she wants to keep using her super old ZTE Zmax Pro!

After taxes for me it's 233.... Renewal via RedPocket direct is 240, not a huge savings...

Nop, if you see price $240, potential taxes will add $18

Why use visual VM when Google Voice is free? Plus, porting a number becomes no big deal. I can't imagine ever going back to giving out my actual phone number.

I dont see this as a particularly good deal vs others anymore and the whole free unlimited ebb thing. Unlimited vs 8GB, free vs paying a year upfront. Kind of a no brainer.

But when you call someone they see your actual phone number, right? If you give people your google voice number but then you call them from your phone the number is different which is confusing to them. Eventually people are going to call your real phone number and try to leave a message.

It was a perfect solution until GV stop forwarding SMS messages to destination mobile number.

Thanks for letting me know. I sent them a message through Ebay asking for a refund of the price difference of $10 (for the 1GB plan), and 5 hrs later, they processed the refund.

Last time I asked for a refund of the price difference, they wanted me to return / rebuy, and I didn't do it since it had already shipped. Nice of them to just do a refund this time.

What happens when you use up your data allotment? Is it dead stop or does it continue at slow speed?
