Nice. I got mine for 279. Overall I am happy with it.

onemesh helps boosting coverage, but speed is much worse than dedicated mesh. you can't mix and match it with deco mesh.

This thing is huge, about the size of a mini chromebook. super thick. Antennas are fixed and can't be adjusted.

My house is 2k sqft, single floor, router is in the center of the house, coverage is sufficient.
Bought this at launch for $300. It's decent. Got plenty of coverage from it. However, for the first 6 months or so I couldn't get the maximum speed from my provider (Spectrum), I was only getting less than half of it. Sometimes it worked after a reboot but only for a short time. I called the ISP to make sure it's not their fault. It wasn't. Then, about 6 months ago TP Link released a firmware update which appears to solve the problem. It's working fine since then. I highly recommend you apply the lastest firmware to get the best functionality.

Is the goal to make these things as hideous as possible? You know, like modern tennis shoes?

Ok what is your list of wifi that is not made in china? Infact what is your list of "electronics' that are not made in china?

You might get away with saying "not china owned".

Try Amazon eero series, which is at least from Vietnam. Red China ask a Chinese company to put a backdoor, it has to comply to the party's order.

Real China (Taiwan) > Red China.

Does anyone know how many devices this router can accommodate? I have over 15 devices, and my Orbi Netgear can only operate normally under 10 devices.

Seems to cover my 3600 sqft house just fine. I have just one room I don't get 5ghz bands in though.

How is the 88U? I'm debating between this and the 88U. Are you using Merlin firmware? How does the range compare between the two routers?
I have zero issues with the ax88u with latest mesh Asus firmware and an AX86u as a node.

When I tested this unit I had over 55 clients (wired and wireless combined).
I did experience client drops and reconnects, particular on Ring doorbell (not a Ring anomaly or signal issue).

I saw one comment stating this doesn't support 1GB speeds. Is this true?

I got one. Covers 3,000 ft home just fine. Huge improvement over the Nighthawk R7900P (also Costco) both in terms of speed and coverage. About 30 devices connected, including a home server. No issues so far.

Edit. Also have fiber 1g up/down and seems to handle it fine. WiFi speeds range depending on distance, device, walls, etc. WiFi 6 decides see massive improvement. Older decides still dependent on whatever is the weakest link.

Just another data point for those interested. My house is 3k sqft and I put this in the center. We get great wireless coverage all around the house and around the outside perimeter. No dead zones.

Anyone have thoughts on the Archer GX90 in comparison to this? Know it's slower at AX6600 but GX90 just came out and seems to have received excellent reviews out of the gate, while this AX11000 model is going on a year old, got meh reviews and still seems problematic for some users. With only $10 difference hard not to go with the AX11000, but is $10 saved if this is a better-built router.

While the box is hardware version 1.6 it's actually the old 1.0 version with a sticker over it

The 1.6 version has more memory from what I understand and the faster processor

Can somebody share what the differences between the 1.1 and 1.6 are

Mine says it's ver 1.26?

Cross Check the sticker on the box and then go to the website and look at the firmware download

Then log into the web page of your router and look at the hardware version there.

I exchanged mine to get version 1.6 and it's much faster/stable.
