I have two of these devices and I absolutely love Android TV and this device is a great value but yes, it locks up on me all the time. I'm constantly having to unplug it and plug it back in order to get it working again.
Try turning on developer options and turning background tasks down to 4.

Can you remotely control the volume of bluetooth speakers? I'm tired of waiting for the Firestick 4K to add this like they did on some of their other devices.
Yes, you can.

Yes. Sound quality over Bluetooth is excellent
Can you adjust volume with the remote using bluetooth connected speakers or headphones? Thanks.

If by chance you have a TP-Link Deco mesh system, you have to disable fast roaming. I was thinking the same last night when I was setting it up and WiFi wouldn't connect although it detected the network. Saw a review on the Walmart website with that comment.

You need to run the latest updates, they fixed the freezing.

Price is good but about 1/4 of review complain about locking up, not worth it to me
Those are old reviews, they've fixed the freezing issues.

I have the Dynalink version and this is a pass even at 20 bucks. Mine would inexplicably freeze and need to be hard reset at least twice a week. Went back to the trusty Fire Stick 4K and no more issues aside from the crappy Amazon UI.
They've fixed the freezes.

Got one and returned it. Locks up too much. Got annoying pretty quick
Update fixes all the freezes.

Quote from nyisless13 :
Back in the spring, I think it received 2 updates in the few months I used it and neither did anything to help the freezing. I read somewhere that the Onn version just got another update recently that's supposed to address this issue, but I'm skeptical it will work.
update fixed all the freezes

are you kidding me? Android TV is like the slowest. buggiest ever. any of the new 4k firesticks blow them away. seriously, they have to be hard power cycled all the time
Have not rebooted this device in more than a month. They fixed all the freezes.
