Got this 2 years ago and haven't regretted it. they typically run it for about $250 every few months and it always ends up being FP.

This is pretty much the best price it gets, sometimes $250, but you may want to wait for the LTE model which can go as low as $300.

Is the free installation only with the totaltech package? Cause otherwise it shows an extra 149 for installation

Edit: I tried this on my laptop instead of my phone and it shows the free installation

I got this last month when it went on sale. Amazing!!! I was hesitant for a while as my key fob on my jeep hasn't worked and the dealer wanted around the same price to re-key.

If you're on the fence about this do it. You won't regret it.

Had this installed by Best Buy a few years ago. Haven't had any issues with it at all except for my spouse losing the set of keys with the main remote control. The other remote still works, it just doesn't have the same range.

This typically goes on sale again around Black Friday. If you wait until then the installs get backed up a bit and you may have to wait a few weeks.

There are a few things that can be set or changed when it's installed like possibly:
- length of time it runs after starting before shutting off ( possibly 5, 10, 15 minute options)
- whether or not you can open passenger doors first without horn going off or engine shut down

May want to check out the options ahead of time and tell the tech what you prefer.

Certain Ford models need two key fobs to program. Make sure you bring both when you take your car for installation.

To anyone that gets this download the manual from Compustar so you know what to ask of the installer. There are functions that can be enabled as well as option changes. Default run time, use OEM keyfob to start (default = lock, lock, lock - have them set it to lock, unlock, lock to reduce odds of accidental start), run intermittently; run ten minutes every four hours or ten minutes every 24 hours in extreme cold environments. Turn off the beeps on the remote. Aux button to turn on defroster or heated seats, roll up/down windows, etc. Can set one remote to function on two vehicles as well.

Check eBay for a used 2 way remote. You can program the remote yourself

Wow that's pretty awesome, I purchased a new car recently and have been bummed that it doesn't roll the windows from the remote

My Honda crv 2018 has a remote start in it already from the factory but I hate the range .. can I install this instead? Also any idea when the LTE module will be on sale ?
