Awesome, now debating if I should wait till black friday or pull the trigger. Most likely buy now and think later.
External Wacom-type things work very well.
If not, I suggest looking for a "dell inspiron chromebook 14 7486" - Why?? It has WACOM EMR Battery-less Stylus built-in. On ebay, people are giving them away imo. It has one of the best screens 100%+ sRGB, and VERY color accurate I've seen on any reasonably priced device. I have 5 of these to do what I need to do in the remote world. They are all 8th gen i3 processors. I bought them all on ebay for about $200 each for an all-aluminum build.

I do recommend swapping out the WiFi card for something better (Intel WiFi6)
Contact them… Maybe by chat?
1. Open device manager
2. Opent the Usb controller section
3. On each device, double click, go to power management, uncheck allow turn off device to save power
4. Profit
This helps me with touchpad lock up significantly on my 14 g3, however i am still looking for the solution for my phantom touches on the screen.
Might got a lemon so that's a big oof.
Aluminum casing feels nice. I like the keyboard as well, except for 1) the backlight isn't auto-on or off; 2) the ring around the power button is always lit during operation.
Biggest disappointments for me are the screen with the washed out colors, which I also have to use at max brightness in a well lit room, and the battery life which only provides ~5 hours (Windows' estimate) of normal use. Also noticed the CPU easily reach 80°C on the first day of use, and the M.2 SSD reach 63°. Don't know what to make of that.
Have yet to test the speakers and all the different ports so can't comment on those yet. Ultimately I'm still looking around for other options. I think that if the Yoga 6 shows up in the same config I'll buy that and return this, despite the fact that the Yoga is smaller, glossy, and not aluminum. At least it's got 100% sRGB and good battery life. At this price range you've got to make compromises, I suppose.

Edit: when I go into adding the accessories section, the stylus tab is blank. Would appreciate if anyone can give some pointers.
The differences are:
The costco has a lesser Ryzen 5, where this has a Ryzen 7.
The costco has a higher res screen 2240 vs 1920.
The costco I believe gets better battery life.
The costco I believe the RAM is all soldered, where this one only 1 slot is soldered.
The costco is an ideapad and thought to have better build quality then this thinkbook (which I think quality is really good)
For me I am considering costco for better screen resolution and better battery.
I really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

I ended up taking advantage of the xps 13 deal for sub $300 bucks lol
My two 15.6" I purchased Oct 29(and were saying 4+ months) are now saying they've shipped and delivery date of Nov 22. Just over 3 total weeks.
I purchased 21a4007bus model.

Of particular interest to me is the display. I went to Best Buy hoping to find a unit with similar display but not sure that any had the same as this unit. Hope not because what I did see was rather disappointing, not that bright and viewing angles were underwhelming to say the least.
What is your opinion? Have others rec'd and what do they think of the display? Everything else about this laptop seems well spec'd but would be a letdown if the display is really substandard.
