Just buy this and install the YouTube TV and YouTube apps right away before the Google war blows up. Google can't uninstall the apps from your Roku, and I doubt they will refuse established users updates even if their apps get taken down from the Roku sites.

That's what happened in the last so-called war. Existing users were fine.

According to the 3 Camels this is the lowest price for this specific product on Amazon. I'd imagine Black Friday will be in the same price range with the exception being you're fighting thousands who don't see any other deals. I'm buying this for my wife's mama who is still using a Roku 2, so I guess I'm in.

I thought Google and Rouku were at war, so no youtube or youtube TV suport and since you cant side load apps on Roku, that is a deal buster for a lot of folks..

Nope. I have Ruko tv and stick and have YouTube channel app. Use it all the time.

I find the Roku remotes annoyingly bad that it drains by itself. Between this and the FireTV deal, I prefer that device despite the massive amount of ads.

Not sure if they removed youtube yet, I could be wrong but I think it said it would be 2022 units There is also a rumor they may lose Amazon prime. All in all I recommend the google chromecast over roku now, at least until they can get their shit together.

im starting to think i should switch to apple tv. my roku keeps going back to the home screen in the middle of using apps and researching shows the dummies at roku said they'd let people know when they figured that out and then 4 months later they never responded back.
