I've seen reviews that the Max is significantly snappier. It's not just the joy of snappiness that's in play here. Ongoing updates will make the old firestick 4k slower than they are now. So with the max, enjoy the snappiness now and assured that it will fine after future software updates that are likely to make the standard firestick 4k further bog down. Since Amazon sells both the regular 4k stick and the Max, they will focus on making their software work on both models. So having the better model usually puts you in the safe zone.
When are they going to make a firestick to replace the Max, 4 years?
I think snapping up one of these for $35 is a no brainer for anyone with one of the older firesticks.
