wrong with any of these. I got the V 1200 as well.
since these two are new they probably have at least 7 year warranties.

TLDR; 750 is more powerful, has cleaning option and much quieter. For $100 more I figured it's worth it.
I had a hard time deciding from the 5200 and V2100. I went with the 5200, since it's the good ol' trusty machine that doesn't break.

Just blend warm water and a drop of dish soap at your machine's highest speed, and watch it self-clean in 60 seconds—no disassembly required
Disclaimer: I have a V1200 model bought last year.

I bought the refurb v1200, but debating the upgrade to 750. ... 5200 is also interesting.
Edit: I'm not worried about the refurb-ness of the v1200. 5 year warranty is sufficient IMO.
Edit 2: I think the smaller cups that work with the v1200 seem useful. 20 Oz for smoothie and 8 Oz for peanut butter. I see varying comments on people's success with these items on the v1200. ... What's been your experience?
Thanks in advance if you happen to see this and comment!

1. The timer is awesome. It takes care of most of my needs. Typically, I fill the ingredients and set the timer, Bluetooth is essentially not a thing for me. Haven't used it all (I dont follow the recipes from the app). It is more beneficial if you have the scale, so you can follow the recipe to the T, measuring each ingredients and all. Once you are familiar with a recipe, you wont need the app, you can set the timer and go on.
2. 8oz and 20oz are very much required for me as I use it regularly (more so of the 8oz than the 20oz). I chose V1200 because of the two smaller cups. I bought the V1200 refurb as well and I couldn't notice any difference with a new unit. I have to note that the smart detect function in all Ascent series has spooked some people (for the smaller cups). Once you figure how to use it you should be good to go. Once out of the box, I had trouble making it to work couple of times but after that never had a problem.
As for 750 v V1200 - upgrade to 750 only if you don't care for the smaller containers /food processors or the scale attachments or the steel containers, etc., (now or in the future). I have regular use for the 8oz and 20oz which I cannot do w/o. The only adv of 750 I can think of is it could be less noisy? preset function? I don't think I can justify paying more for 750 (or any other legacy models). Let me know if I can answer any other question.

I think the 8oz and 20oz cups will be super useful for things like peanut butter, dressing, dips.
One last question (which I assume the answer is "no" based on your last comment)... Do the 8oz and 20oz cups require the app? I've seen lots of comments about a "lack of connection" preventing the 8/20 Oz cups from working. I had assumed these comments related to issues with the app detecting the cups.
Thanks again.
