Isn't 10mg quite a bit more than the recommended dose? I use gummies and pills and the recommended dose varies a lot but I've never seen it this high
Solid deal though
Your doctor is correct. 10 mg is way way too much, it may wreck hormonal balance and adrenal glands health if taken on a regular basis. Most people with irregular sleep problems need btw 0.5mg and 1.5mg total, if anyone needs more to fall asleep they must seriously consider changes to their lifestyle.
More is not better. Not sure why this is on the homepage. Don't buy this.

Just fyi. Some people (like me) have had a reaction to melatonin that is quite unpleasant and painful. I was screened for all sorts of dire intestinal issues before it was found to be melatonin.
10mg is really strong. I usually cut in half 5mg tablets and that (2.5mg), is more than enough. Do your own research of course, but pretty sure anything over 5mg is not good and potentially harmful.
I 100% concur! I just wish I had been warned. They really do work but I had terrible nightmares & I stopped immediately, but at that time had been told nightmares were "never" a side effect of it. I know better now, but appreciate your warning! Maybe I'm not crazy? Lol
1mg absolutely worked better for me than the 5 and 10 I was using. What worked absolute wonders was the time release version that had two layers. One that helps me fall asleep and the the second layer that released in a few hours to keep me asleep. I only use it every 3-4 days because I know the risks of daily, long term use.
I would consider limiting your intake of melatonin.
It will make it so that the pineal gland no longer makes melatonin naturally and on its own. Meaning, you will always have to rely on a supplement to get sleepy.
Melatonin doesn't have a classic negative feedback loop. This thread is something else. Everyone wants to play a doctor, nobody wants to do the 11 years it takes to be one. Sleep hygiene, CBT, then melatonin or pharmaceuticals.
I take 5mg no effect, CBD + CBN + Melatonin and still no help. I have a crazy work school schedule that starts 4am and I don't get into bed til 10:30pm. My commute and the traffic in a tristate are the death of my sleep schedule. I can't even function until I'm 250mg of caffeine deep. I'm scared to try this and oversleep, might buy to take on Fridays so I can recover and not wake up at 5am without an alarm

Consult with an actual doctor before you buy or use any supplement. Do not rely on what you found online and definitely not on random people in the Slickdeals thread.
