PCIe is the interface, M.2 is the connector. It uses PCI express lanes, but an M.2 pin plug. This is to clarify that it is not an M.2 SATA drive which uses the M.2 plug with a SATA interface (much slower).

Ok, after I bought the WD I did some more research. Still a keeper at $94.

But read the link below for the WD750SE for yourself.

https://www.techadvisor.com/revie...e-3807534/

Seems its a 4.0 and not a 4x4. Confusing?????

Well iWD 750 SE is a quality product but the OP intel at $80 is probably the best deal as of today. Also direct from Newegg!

Intel 670P, Corsair 600, and Sammy 980 would be my final list as of today. Just keep an eye open for WD deals. It looks like they all are 600TB write after some research..

Add this one to the list!

Noticed that and the price is droping.

But what is this and is it true for the Corsair???? $115 at some sites!

Corsair

OK at $80 for the intel 670p which is a quality drive. N41

This is the WAY!

OK at $80 this is a reliable quality drive.

I'm confused. You quoted a bit about the Corsair MP600's endurance and then commented that at $80 this is a reliable drive.

The MP600 from Corsair isn't $80 somewhere is it?

Yes the Corsair has high reliability. But the prices I see for it are in the $150-200 range for 1TB.

Should be OK. But you need to make sure your laptop has an open slot for this format.
