In for another one!

Yep/ these were $70 3 weeks ago and messed up by not getting a second one. For a second storage drive these are the ones at that price.

Boot drive for 3X4 works fine.

Yeah I'm waiting for $70 again or less. $140 for two 1tb is my sweet spot. Yes, I prefer my data to only corrupt in smaller parts (lol...).

I got a couple of these on the last one. Relatively decent drives but the endurance specs are not as good compared to other drives. It's unknown if Intel is just being more conservative or if they actually are weaker.

In any case, I'm really good at killing SSD's regardless of specs but they are getting better.

I still haven't had a dead SSD in all these years of use. I do try to stick to good names like Samsung and Crucial. Also I swap out main bootdrives quiet often using cloning software.

Lucky you, in 3 years I have lost 3 Samsung EVOs, waiting for warranty replacement on the last 860 1tb EVO.

Most PC users only write a few terabytes a year. So for most people 100's of TBW is more than enough for expected life of the computer.

In for 1, great price. anyone worrying about endurance is buying the wrong drive anyway.
If you need a SSD this is a great deal.

how is this QLC turd on front page??? for $5 more you can get a TLC drive with HMB https://www.amazon.com/MSI-SPATIU...B09NKH2V3D (HMB capable drives use system DRAM as cache to speed up performance instead of using their own DRAM. it doesn't segment itself into an SLC partition like the intel drive and therefore performance doesn't degrade as much when the drive fills)

and if you are eligible for any of the amazon amex/chase/discover promos, you can get it for $60-$65

ditto. nothing but headaches with samjunk. i do freelance IT for a bunch of small businesses. law firms, ad agency, oil heating company, etc. the only SSDs that consistently give me headaches are samjunk. even the dirt cheap microcenter branded SSDs have been good to me. but the evos seems to die a lot. i recently stopped buying samjunk and only buy WD or any SSD with Toshiba NAND.
