You do realize batteries lose ability to charge over time which apparently from what I am told from those that use them at best around 2 years.
So you will need to invest in new ones , the folks at Home depot and Lowe's who are in the dept that sells them tell me to buy gas powered or plug in as they are a better value and you can run them longer as you are not subjected to a short run time with battery power.
I use a plug in bush and grass trimmers that I have had for 4 plus years without loss of power.

Yes, that's why plug-in equipment are so popular these days. They can't keep up with demand. You must know something everybody else doesn't.
I've been using my Craftsman battery-powered lawn tools for going on 3 years. Same batteries. Works as new.
Have fun dragging that cord around or in-haling fumes. And driving your steam-powered car. And using dial-up service.

The power difference is insane. While the battery powered ones whips some of the grass and weeds around, this one chops it all cleanly at the base. Yes, this one requires an extension cord, but I have outlet in the front of my house so its not that bad. It use to take me 45 mins to trim the grass, but now it only take about 10-15 mins.
The battery trimmers are going on FB marketplace this weekend.
