FYI to everyone. I have this TV. The software is alittle buggy, but its gotten better with firmware updates. Its pretty usable now without issues if you disable the quick start (if you dont there's still issues with the wifi not connecting after the tv resumes)

i have an xbox series s hooked up to it, and the 120hz looks fabulous. Been playing Halo infinity on it in performance mode and it looks great. Forza 5 though not 120hz also plays and looks great.

I'm pretty happy with the TV.

Previous $899 deal was for the 65".. Got a $100 credit from BB for their latest price reduction on the 65" R646, but I'm hoping they go to $800 like Amazon did with the Roku version. Another $100 off would be sweet.

Yes 1 year manufacture warranty with open boxes is still valid and start from the purchase date.

Yeah, I got it at $899 too and have yet to set it up. $799 would be sweet but I doubt thats happening.

Hmm. I have the HiSense 65U6GR (HDMI 2.1, 60hz) ordered for delivery later on. I have a PS5 but honestly I don't think the 120hz matters much since I play mostly single-player. It'd be important mostly for FPS multiplayer. Most AAA titles that aren't multiplayer will be 4k60 locked for best graphics.

Is it stupid to buy a TV meant to last through the PS5's lifecycle that doesn't support 4k120?

If I were you I would set it up. The OS has it's glitches, and the last update made a mess of the HDMI eARC/ARC feature. I'm actually getting mine exchanged due to that issue. If the problems persist, I might return it and go for the Roku model, even though I've heard the Google edition has a better picture.
