Ok thanks for the quick answer
Just make sure you get the X800M2 and not the older X800 or X700.
The sound off of even regular Blu-ray and even CD discs is amazing. Much better than my older high end Sony or LG Blu-ray players.
Plus it plays Super Audio CDs, and other disc formats.
The only "freeze ups" some people complain about are usually with the minimal Netflix, Yourube and Prime video apps it supplies. I use my TV, Roku or Apple apps for streaming.
I've had no freeze ups playing Blu-ray, 4K Blu-ray and CD for almost a month now.

I own the Panasonic 420 model and OLED tv's(even Nvidia shields). I love the 420 player but I decided I still want the 820 version with the Dolby Vision. You can google a list of movies with Dolby Vision. Most people do not need to spend $400 on the 820. the 420 at $150 is a fantastic player. If you do not own a high end TV and/or audio system that will benefit from the player then search for more reasonably priced 4k player solutions.
I have a LG CX and i just got this one, as I currently do not have any 4K blu rays listed with dolby vision on there. Since i don't have the content I didn't feel the need to spend more.. happy with the 420
We'll see what the future brings

I have this player and also a Denon X3700H AV Receiver. The receiver also supports Dolby Vision. If I connect this player to my Denon then from Denon to my TV, will I degrade the picture quality that this player offer?
I know I could connect the player directly to the TV (for video) then using the player's HDMI Audio Out to connect to my AV Receiver (for Audio), but this configuration is not ideal for me as I won't be able to utilize this player in my Zone2.
Thanks for your expert advice!

Sorry for the late response. Your question does relate to my current situation. Maybe to late to jump on this one, but to consider for future ones with this player.
I have a Denon AVRS760H that passes through Dolby Vision with no issues to my LG C1 so you can do that fine in theory. I will say with this player, while I did have it working briefly, I ended up doing a separate HDMI connection to the TV and running the other HDMI for audio to my AVR. Works great, what prompted this is that CEC always seemed to throw things into a funk when running through one connection to the AVR. I would have to power off and on in sequence to play nice. May happen with your Denon, may not. But to your question, running one HDMI to the TV and the other to the AVR works great in my situation
