These type of extenders in general are a great way to make a wired device into a wireless device, so for that alone its worth the $20. If you plan on hooking up multiple devices hardwired with a switch save your money and find one of the few that have 10/100/1000. Just a reminder most devices dont need more than 5Mbps, yes you read that right 5Mbps, as that is enough to stream your netflix, game, and surf the web per device. If you are doing 4k streaming you will need around 45Mbps as a safe buffer per device.
