I've had one of these for years. 90% of the time it's been in my drawers. The other 10% I try using it only to be reminded that the signal strength sucks, but especially it's ability to handle multiple devices.

Even if you have a very small living space and only a few devices, you'll experience occasional drop-off and other annoying issues. Do yourself a favor, spend a bit extra for a repeater with modern features such as MU-MIMO.

I've had extremely good results with using this as a repeater on my home network. I have 70+ personal and IoT devices on it, and not once in 2 years have I had a single issue with devices dropping off, bad signal, etc in a 3000 sqft home.

A cool use for this is you can connect your phone's hotspot to it, connect the Ethernet to the WAN port on your router, and use your phone's hotspot as an emergency Internet connection.

I've done this a few times during service outages. Works surprisingly well if you have 5G in your area.

This is cheap and effective, if you use the hardwire line, you will get under 100mbps because its only a 10/100mbps port, still a easy way to make a non wireless device wireless.
