However, I have had success starting my car 1/2 of the time and the other 1/2 with it telling me my hood is open (which it isn't) which i notice happens when it is especially cold out (defeats the purpose of having it installed). I have an appt next week to see if they can figure out what is going on (hopefully a simple solution i'm not catching).
They charged me a $10 hood sensor thing (which in retrospect, i wonder if i could have refused given the issue's i'm having now). No damage from installation as far as i can tell.

No one will be as careful with your car as you. I realize not everyone wants to tackle it, but spend a little time reading and asking questions on their Q&A and it's not hard.
The other option is to find a well-reviewed shop in your area that installs them all the time. It might cost a little more, but would likely be done right.
