Yeah, that's always the question. But people need to realize this is just a code scanner, not a diagnostics tool (even though people confuse the two). It's good to know whether or not the car can still drive or not. If it may be an easy fix (after looking up the code and seeing what common issues it has on your car) and so on.

I know it's a code reader. Whatever error codes it read, they were wrong. I had dealer check with their scanner and nothing came up. Car was brand new and without any issues. I no longer trust cheap readers.

For what it costs it's good. But I would really recommend one that does live data and graphing at the very least. Even better to have one that does two way stuff and resets oil / battery / tpms and does electronic parking brake stuff.

That doesn't make any sense. So the car threw an error, the code reader read it, but the dealership said there weren't any codes?

Sure the car wasn't a piece of crap?

Car was piece of crap honda but not nearly as bad as my current honda. Yes i'm sure. Dealer is only happy to do work and get warranty reimbursement by honda. Dealer didn't lie to me. I kept getting false positives with that bafx or whatever it was bluetooth. Maybe 2-3 codes.

Well it's possible that bafx was a piece of crap but that doesn't mean all of them will be. I've used this Ancel version a few times now since my friend has it and it came in very handy. Bad o2 sensor, replaced, codes went away, done. For $10, this is great. If I wanted to pay more, i'd get one that does more but since I only need a code reader for those rare times a code is thrown, $10 to see what it is is good peace of mind.
