It has been this price many times over the last year. Also, first ingredient is "yellow corn meal." Pass.

Good catch with the yellow corn meal. I generally see spices as 0 calories and use them on my vegetables. This would have been a mistake figuring it is 20 calories per serving.

Corn meal is a bit of a turn off, but this seasoning is actually pretty good. I use it to make quesadillas, and they taste great. The 20 cals is in 2 teaspoons, so it's not a huge deal as I use a fraction of that for one serving of a dish.

I use packets when I'm lazy, but no msg or cornmeal to worry about if you make your own. You can cut down on the sodium too.
