that said, the mini 2 is the better drone in many ways and sounds like best bang for buck for a first timer. im currently on the hunt for the mini 2 fly more combo when it gets around the $350 range.
id recommend checking out amazon warehouse deals for this mini 1 combo. i picked one up (in like new condition) for $219 yesterday to fill the void before the 2 comes back around for some deals. when it comes time, pretty certain i can sell the used mini 1 combo for more than what i paid too - added bonus. or, send it back to amazon if you're not into it!
Really considering this. Not sure it's going to be any better to wait for a big deal in the Mini 2 for my first drone.
