This is a BEAST of a CPU. Be aware, its runs HOT by design. Be prepared to have an AIO or WC setup. Undervolt it for increased GHz. Paired with a 3080, system is SCREAMING though games @1440.

Newegg has been playing with pricing lately on this. Late last week it was ~404 dollars with the 10% off coupon because the 'base' price was 449 dollars. Then early this week they raised the base price to 499 and offered a 60 off. Now they have it at 489 and the 60 off. It's still around 30 dollars more than they were offering it just a few days ago. Every few days they expire the code and have 'sale ending in x hours' but then renew the code. Gimmicky.

The 10% off code supposedly expires at the end of the month, right around when the 5800X3D and the lower tier 5000 series CPUs are released. I wonder if the 5900x and 5800x will get more discounts in the next few weeks? Esp considering competing Intel products already cost less so there is a bit of squeeze due to competition.
